I'm a licensed psychologist (MD #07086, CA #29353, PSYPACT APIT #18156) specializing in reproductive psychology, anxiety, and grief. I'm passionate about helping people maintain their mental health while in a difficult journey to parenthood, whatever that journey entails - fertility treatment, pregnancy loss, third party reproduction, or surrogacy. Although a reproductive journey is full of pain, grief, and isolation, I firmly believe that every person can find strength, make meaning, and ultimately evolve into a better person (and future parent) through the journey as well.
I have always been interested in the intersection of health and psychology, but when I chose a career psychology, I never pictured I would end up specializing reproductive mental health. I trained in a range of mental health settings including medical centers, psychiatric hospitals, and intensive outpatient programs. I completed my predoctoral internship at Yale School of Medicine, my postdoctoral training at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, and then went on to private practice. In 2018, I co-founded a group private practice in Los Angeles, Westside Psych.
It wasn't until my own fertility and pregnancy loss journey that I became deeply passionate about reproductive psychology, family building, IVF, third party reproduction, and surrogacy. In going through IVF myself, I learned so much that I felt like I earned a degree in how to navigate the world of assisted reproduction. I found myself finding ways to pass on this knowledge and support others through the journey, and which led me to pursue specialized training in reproductive mental health. I completed training and sought mentorship through the Mental Health Professional Group (MHPG) of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). Once I completed my own family building, I shifted my clinical practice to be focused on reproductive mental health.
In 2023, I relocated from LA to Maryland with my family. I offer in-person sessions in Lutherville near Green Spring Station, and see clients virtually. I am licensed in California, Maryland, and am a member of PSYPACT, which allows me to practice in 41 states
